The S-Board 840 Numeric has a scissor mechanism which leads to a quieter way of typing and it requires less force to press keys. The user will still recognize the pressure point of the keys while typing, and at the same time does not have to apply to much key pressure force to press down the keys. A scissor mechanism guarantees an appropriate balance between strength of actuation and typing speed.
Accurate typing.
The S-Board 840 Numeric has a key centre distance of 19 mm according to the DIN EN ISO norm. The concave key shape with an inner curvature fits perfectly to your fingertips . The key with the five, which is in the middle of the numeric, has a little bump. The eight extra keys for the calculator function have a convex key shape, so those are curved like the exterior of a circle. All those aspects guarantee a better orientation, precisely typing and minimal typing errors during work.
Get started quickly.
You can start working immediately with your S-Board 840 Numeric. Thanks to the plug-and-play function, you just need to plug the numeric in one of the USB ports of your computer and wait till the hardware is automatically found. There are two LEDs which show if the keypad is turned or and if the NumLock is activated.
Calculator function.
This external numeric has a calculator function with eight extra keys. So, you can solve arithmetic tasks faster and more easily. With this numeric it is possible to switch between the keypad mode and calculator mode when you are connected to your computer. Or you can start calculating on the numeric and use the SEND button to transfer your calculation result to your computer.
Hot keys.
You can switch on the integrated navigation keys with the NumLock and use conveniently the functions: go to home, page up and down, end, insert, and delete. Those integrated navigation keys lead to more efficiency.
Compatibility.
The S-Board 840 Numeric is compatible with all computer or laptops, which have an USB port and have a Windows operating system. MacOS users can use the calculator function.
